This is the blog of a family dog named Abby in Upstate New York, who writes (in her own words)about her everyday life.

SCATTERGORIES

So, I was looking at blogs today and found Wanda's post-a scattergories game. Though I've only played Scattergories once, I like doing it on here (my blog). It's more fun without the timer ;-).

What you have to do is you have to copy these questions (I guess...or make some up) and instead of doing MY name, you use yours. Then, on every question, you have to answer with the first letter of your name. Ready? Here goes....oh, and you can't repeat a word, which means that since you used your name on the first one, you can't use it anywhere else. A dictionary helps, too...:

What is your name...........................Abby
4 Letter word....................................Apes
Vehicle................................................Automobile
City......................................................Albany (New York)
Boy Name...........................................Arnold
Girl Name...........................................Annie
Occupation..........................................Accountant
Something you wear.........................Abby Hair(I'm cheating there, I know...but my humans where my hair a lot!)
Celebrity.............................................Ashley Olson
Food......................................................Alpo dog food(or apples)
Something found in a bathroom........Aloe Lotion
Reason for being late...........................Alpo dog food (I had to eat first!)
Cartoon Character...............................Abby the Wonder Dog!(Does anyone know a cartoon character beginning with 'A'?)
Something you shout..........................Abbers! Come here, dog! (My humans don't normally call me Abbers, btw)
Animal....................................................Anteater
Body part...............................................Arm
Word to describe you............................Awesome...so that wasn't very modest, I know..

Ok, so I kind of cheated...ok, kind of a lot. But atleast I posted! Maybe you want to try it, if you're struggling for a post-idea..... :-)

Playing Tricks.....

Hey guys! Sorry it's taken me so long to post! I just gotta let you guys know first that I'm not coughing anymore! YEY! It's gone!
Ok, so I took this little video the other day. Obviously I was more focused on the bacon treat my sister was holding then doing the tricks perfectly, but maybe you'll like the video anyway. I don't have much else to say about it. Sorry I haven't posted! I don't really have anything to post about. My life is pretty boring in the winter. It consists only of sleeping, eating, and going for walks. Pray that I get a better idea for a post soon! ;-)
Bye!

I'm a Hunter!

Cute squirrel, huh? Well, how proud would I sound if I said I killed one this morning?! I KNOW, I'M AWESOME! Ok, so most humans probably won't like to hear that, but I just had to let you know. This is my 3rd squirrel in my whole lifetime. I thought of taking a picture of the squirrel I got, but I thought it'd be too gruesome for the ladies, so I just took this nice picture off google. Yes, I'm a huntin' dog. Dad didn't say it, but I'm sure he was happy-one less animal eating the bird food away from the birds! YES!
Well, just had to share my victory in a quick post. Have a good week, everyone! It's time for me to go to my bed.

I've Been Tagged! 7 Strange Things:

Well, I've been tagged by that one human named Allen. Sherman's owner. Anyway, I'm supposed to tell 7 interesting things about me. I'll do the 7 thing, but who knows if it'll be interesting! Here goes:
  1. When my humans leave to go somewhere, they turn on the radio, Family Life Network (88.9) and The Frequancy of Heaven, 99.7, so I have Chuck Swindol's, Chip Ingram's, and David Jeramiah's messages all memorized. Great pastors.
  2. I like to chase the new cats outside-the boy one is such a chicken (I like to chase those, too); He runs away from me and climbs up a tree until I leave! Baby! (literally)
  3. I never had my dew claws removed (oh so interesting)
  4. I've NEVER had to go to the vet except for the yearly checkups for being sick, until this year
  5. I was in 2 homes before my new humans got me, and my first owners were very mean to me, so it took me a long time to trust my new humans-now i'm a very nice, happy, kind pup
  6. My first owners named me Liberty, and my second ones named me Abby
  7. A lot of people think I'm a male doggy because I have a beard, and when my humans inform then that I'm a girl, they tell me I need a beard trim
Oops, I forgot to tag people. Okay, I tag Sherman, Patch, and Eddie, Peaches, and Bella. Hope to see your posts soon!

I'm Back, with a Proper Diagnosis!

Good news, people/dogs! I found out whats wrong with me! We went to the vet for a 3rd try, and they did more tests, and found out I have Lung Worms! I know, it's strange that I'm celebrating, but atleast I know now what's wrong! My humans have to squirt a gross white stuff in my mouth to "help" me. Well, I think it is helping, so I'm putting up with it.
Just wanted to let you know, my fiasco is over!
I got this picture in an email and just HAD to share it. It's the picture of the year. It's supposed to represent love, courage, and teamwork, and bravery.
:-)
Have a great week!

There's a Time for Everything-Even a New Bed!

Do you see that up there?! That's my new bed! I've ALWAYS wanted a new bed, with a fluffy pillow. Well, this bed is JUST a fluffy, comfy, soft pillow! You see, my mom happened to say this morning that they (the humans) were going to get a new bed for me. Upon further discussion I found out that it was because my mom read on some website that doggies get kennel cough because they are confined to a small area (kennel) that's dusty, and that makes them cough. So, today they went to 3 stores to find the perfect bed, and they found it! I don't get to use my cage anymore, and though I'm sad about that, I know this will (hopefully) help me get better, and come on, who doesn't want to lie on a nice, fleecy pillow?! One side is brown fleece, and the other is tan and brown striped fabric-not fleece. I like the fleece side. It took me awhile to get used to the new pillow, but I'm happy with it now! My sister is typing what I say and she says I should tell you that I'm lying spread out on my side, with my head resting (adorably, of course) on my arm/paw. I'm so cute! Well, just wanted to let you guys know the good news! Have a nice day!

Um....What do I post?!

I'm afraid my posts are getting much too boring-and infrequant. I'm still sick. I'm confused-I thought the vet, though horrible as he/she is, is supposed to work magic! Apparently, with me, it's not working. I've already been to the vet twice and got Xrays and been "scoped" and gotton medicine, and I'm still coughing. It says online that most of the time Kennel Cough only lasts about a week, and in very rare cases, up to 4 weeks, but I've had it since almost the beginning of December! I just wish I was better-this picture is of what I look like most of the time now, on good days. Some days my hair is ruffled, and I have to keep coughing. What's up with this?! I just hope I get better before summer, so I can run and play normally again...
