I'm Still Alive

Hello, Pups! I have no excuse for not having posted since Mommy's day...All I can say is that I'm sorry. I am still alive, just have been too lazy to slide myself into the computer chair and make a post.
I DO have to wish my human Mom a HAPPY BIRTHDAY! You're another year older! YEY! ;-) I hope you have a wonderful day, and I'll try not to roll in smelly stuff and get dirty, just for today...and, what the heck, I'll through tomorrow in, too, for good measure.

I'm sorry to say it guys, but I think I have to kind of quit this blog. I'm not deleting it, but don't expect a post often. I'm sorry to do this to you...but I have to. I'll still post sometimes, and I'll read your blogs...

Happy Mommy's Day!......A Walk in the Woods....90 posts!

Hey, guys! I'm really sorry I haven't posted, there is no excuse for that, just laziness, and I'm ashamed...

Happy Mommy's Day to all the mommy's out there, human AND dog! I was thinking, what about doggies? Do dog-mom's get to celebrate Mom's day?!? I don't know my doggy mom....did she look like this? Or was that my dad? Or did she look like THIS? Or was THAT my dad? Or maybe they were both already mixed dogs, or one of them was a mix, and they had those two breeds in them? Or am I three breeds? I really don't know.... I wish I did, though. All my humans know is that before they got me, when I was a year old, I had been in two families. The first family brought me to a shelter, another person picked me up, didn't like me, and brought me back to the same shelter. When I had left the shelter the first time, my name was Liberty, the second time I went back to it, my name was Abby....I like Abby a lot more. It's cuter.

Anyway, in honor of Mother's day we (my mom, dad, and human bro) went for a walk in our woods.....and the horse. This caused a problem, see, at the beginning of the walk I wasn't on the leash and I, just for fun, ran up to the horse and barked and pretended to bite her. Of course I COULDN'T bite her, but I pretended. Well, my humans yelled at me in that most annoying way, but I blew it off and did it again, and where did that get me?!? On the leash! Do you see me in the picture?! Notice the leash? (that's my human brother holding me)....well, it ruined the walk. It was still nice, but so not cool....I cropped out me from that picture because I had this adorable face on, so here it is:

Now I must go...I hope you enjoyed your weekend, and I hope you guys have a great week to come! Bye!

Oh, by the way, from now on the time that the post is posted will not be the real time, because I can't change the time to what it is or else blogger will think it's a scheduled post time thing even though it isn't...right now it's really 6:08 PM, just so you know. :D

Sorry I Was Gone

I am back, dear puppies! I'm so very sorry that I haven't been on---in truth, I've been lazy, with spring being here now, I've been running away, making my mom drive around looking for me, making people angry, all the jazz, you know? It's a ton of fun. Anyway, on Monday this past week I went and the vet took out my stitches, so no more lampshade, no more painful paw. All that's left for evidence of my procedure is some shaved off hair. I've been living the life lately, like I said. I've also been dutifully chasing the cats, going on walks...which, by the way, aren't as fun anymore because my mom won't let me off the leash because I 'run away'...I don't get it, humans can go wherever they like to go, and no one stops them, far as I know, which isn't very far, I guess. Maybe it's because dogs don't bother to go to a room designated for going potty, and my mom doesn't want me to 'litter' on other people's property...I guess I could understand that...I guess....

The first picture is of me in a stream at our house. They are flowing wonderfully, and I'm planning an attack for one of the next hot days---I lay down in the stream and make mom totally mad...even if I'm on the leash, I can still cause trouble. Brilliant, huh? Especially since she payed money for me to get a bath at the vet...I'm just awesome...anyway, the second is taken today, yes, today, very recent, of me rolling in the clean, cool grass. I <3>

I'm Home.....with My Personal Lampshade

Hello! Guess what? I'm at home! Let me tell you exactly what happened at the vet:

Well, I got to the kennel/vet and I was already not very happy....My humans took me to the place behind bars AGAIN! And imagine, when I thought it couldn't get any worse, they gassed me and did 'surgery' and when they were done, I was wearing that big plastic lampshade thing and my paw hurt! First they had a bandage on my paw, so I couldn't see what they had done, but then they took it off, and I have string in my skin! Wow, I'm sorry, I must have just totally disgusted you...my sincere apologies. Anyway, I'm sorry, I must have disgusted you with the picture as well, but that's my paw...they took off the funny "bump"-it's not cancerous, whatever that means, they said it was a 'fatty tumor'...I'm guessing that means a bump made of fat. It's off now, and the only drawback is I wear that dumb cone...I'm so
embarrassed! I can't change it, I guess...my humans do take if off me when they can watch me to make sure I don't pull out the stitches, and I'm fine, but I have to wear it at night...well, at least it's clear! I can see! And man, when my humans picked me up, I was so happy to see them, I forgot about the cone! A human friend of mine said "The cone is the lampshade, you're the lightbulb!", and I kind of like that because people are smart when they have lighbulbs above their heads, so I take that as a compliment.
Talk to you all soon!

Hello, just a quick visit

Hello, doggies! I'm here at the kennel! They FINALLY let me on to the Internet! I had forgotten to have my human mom sign papers that I could go on, and there was a big line, so FINALLY the line died down and I convinced those people to let me on...I don't have much to say...they gave me this gas stuff to make me sleepy, and then they did something to my leg, and now my bump is gone...well, I'm assuming it is because of the slight pain and the big, humongous cone over my head...humans, humans, humans..is this hunk of plastic supposed to be a fashion statement?!? Well, I'm surviving, I guess...phase two is next Wednesday----BATH TIME! I'll show pictures...maybe, if my Benny-boy is lucky, they'll give me a cute bandanna to show off...I'll look just SO MUCH cuter! Well, I have to sign off now, darn chihuahua is behind me in line and is doing that oh-so-annoying, high pitched yap...darn dog...No offense to all you chihuahuas out there...Enjoy the picture of me in my better times, guys! Until next week!

I JUST noticed, if you look at my front paw in the picture you can see the bump...except it grew since that picture, which was taken last summer...but you get the idea.

Playing with Tennis Ball

Oh, forgot to say one thing, this is a video my sister took while she was playing with me...she did a bad job taping, she kept making it sound all windy and stuff...she says sorry. Anyway, enjoy the video!

Spring, Yogurt, and Big, Canvas Boxes

I'm here, doggies! Sorry I take so long to post! You CANNOT imagine how hard it is to get my human off the computer! But now she's off, for a minute, so I have a bit to post. First of all, Happy Spring! Spring has sprung here in our neck of the woods. We had some snow last Sunday, but it melted quick. The first picture is of me in our stream. Now that all this snow melted, we have a big stream and lots of little streams everywhere. I don't like swimming in big bodies of water, but I like the shallow stream! The second is of....*sniff*, canvas boxes. That's what they look like to me, anyway...I think they're called bags in real life, but I'll call them canvas boxes. Anyway, I know that whenever my humans get those out, I smell trouble. Whenever they come out they put tons of stuff in them, and then one morning I hop in the car, eager for a ride, but we end up at the vet's office. Yup, I think I have a kennel visit ahead of me. This happened last year, too. They went off to some warm place called Florida, and left me here to suffer. Can you believe it?! Plus, I heard that not only am I staying at the kennel, I'm getting 'surgery'. *GASP!* What is surgery? I don't think it's that nice...something about a bump on my leg that's getting bigger...anyway, the vet people are taking the little bump off my leg, and then I have to wear a-a---a cone! DOUBLE GASP! Holy wiener schnitzel! OH MY GOSH! To show all you doggies what a cone is, I borrowed a picture from another site. Here it is:

Terrible, isn't it?! I'm quite worried...but yogurt is good. That's the last picture. My mom finished a container of yogurt, and put it on the ground and said "Abby, do you like yogurt?". I was like HOLY CANOLI! I didn't even know what it was, but if my mom puts it on the ground, I'm not dumb enough to turn away from it! So that's me eating yogurt. Anyway, I have to go, I think tomorrow is the day I got the the vet's...*sigh*....I heard a rumor of a bath afterward...You'll see pictures when I get back, which is (according to my scribe) next Wednesday, the twenty-third. Talk to you then, puppers!

Actually, just so you know, my kennel does come with free Internet access, so I will be on to comment to you guys, but I can't post because they don't have pictures. :)

P.S..OH GOLLY, GOLLY, GOLLY, I just looked at Ben's post, and I have to let you guys know, I have a new boyfriend named Ben...I like to call him Benny. He's sweet, and handsome...and HE won't quit blogging, like my exboyfriend, Boomer, did. :D Talk to you soon!
