Last Gift-Thanks to Gregor!

Hello! I just wanted to inform you of a package that arrived in the mail yesterday. My Uncle Gregor sent me a gift, as promised in his comment on the last post! Cool, huh?! He got treats for me, three kinds. A potato and duck kind, a dried fish kind, and a salmon kind. All the treats are natural. I love them. He also said that I'm going to get a ostrich tendon in the mail, which sounds REALLY good. I don't know what an ostrich is, but that treat sounds really good. I mean, all the other ones were good, so this one must be, too. He also sent a package of treats for Freckles, Genevieve, and Gronemeyer. It's a pink package. The treats are made totally of fish, 85% salmon. They smell good, too, but they are, "...strictly for the cats." Humans these days. I mean, the cat food, and litter box are "...strictly for the cats", too, but I eat them! Whatever, I'll let it go. Well, I have my own good treats. Thank you, Gregor! Happy New Year to you too!
The last pictures are of my canine, but not by blood, niece, Sasha. She's pretty cool. I've told you about her before. She's a German Shepard, Rottweiler, some type of setter, other stuff, but mostly Rottweiler, I think. She's a little over a year old, and she's REALLY playful. My human brother, Markus, is staying with us right now, and he owns her, and it's kind of nice to have another doggy to run with, and bite, and push around. Ok.....I admit, I always act like such a social, and pushy dog, but I'm really not. Mostly, Sasha does the pushing. Pushes me to get food, treats, attention, toys, etc. BUT, I do push her around when we play. I nip her behind, and chase her, and stuff. My Christmas Gifts

Hello, Puppers! Merry Christmas! I hope you all had a wonderful day with friends and family, and that you got a nice thing or two from under the tree standing in your living room! Can someone explain that to me? Why do humans put a prickly tree in the room, hang stuff from it, and then WRAP gifts and put them under it? I mean, the tree already doesn't make sense, but WRAPPING the gifts? The point is to get a gift and enjoy it, and by wrapping it, you're pretty much hiding it! It just wasts MORE trees by using the paper! Man, I should get the humans a book for Christmas next year titled "How to Not Waste Trees: for Dummies"....Not that that exists, but still.....
Anyway, lets move to what I got. Well, this year was very successful. Normally I get a collar and a couple extra Scooby Snacks from my human dad, but this year, oh wow, I got THREE different kinds of treats! How great is that?!? I got Canine Carry Outs, Bac'n Bites flavor, which are little strips of doggy bacon, that smell oh so wonderful, and taste one million times better (and by the smell, THAT'S saying something!), and I received all natural dog treats from a company called Wet Noses, apple pie flavor. They are from some friends of ours that visited at Thanksgiving. They have a doggy named Gypsy. Maybe I'll scan a picture of her on to show you guys her. She's pretty cool. Anyway, those treats have (according to the package) no corn, no wheat, and no soy, which is apparently not good for doggies. They are REALLY good, and they also smell scrumptious. My human sis says to tell you people (doggies, actually) that if you went by smell, she would totally be eating the treats. (luckily it says for doggies only because I want them all for myself!) The last treats were made by my sis all by herself. They are made from peanut butter and other stuff (see the recipe on my sis's cousin's blog here.) They are called Beg-ables. I never really liked peanut butter, and my sis knows that, so she was a little unsure that I'd like them. Well, lets just say they aren't my favorite. I eat them, but mainly because I figure, heck, what else can I do? It's lying there! Might as well eat it......

Snow-Dog-A Little Late

Woof, hello dogger-bloggers! Sorry I haven't posted in so long! I'm really busy, and my sis keeps hogging the computer. Well, let me tell you about the pictures. The first one is a close up shot of my, as you can see, BEAutiful face, I know, it's great. The second one shows me sporting my awesome Christmas collar. The third is weird, I know. I'm rolling in the snow, and then the third is me sitting up, and the fourth is just me in the snow. Well, that's all I can say, gotta go, bye!

Snow Day, Apparently

Hello! These pictures are actually from just about 1/2 an hour ago! It snowed A LOT last night, so my sister didn't have to go to school. She got up early, looked at the noisy, flashing box that the humans like to watch, and then she said "Oh, it's a snow day!", and she went back to bed for 2 hours! Peculiar, huh?!? Well, I like it. In the pictures she went out and braved the snow and took me for a walk all the way down the driveway! It was lots of fun. I'd run a few steps, cough(I'm still sick), and then bury my head in the snow for no reason! I guess I'm supposed to know why, but I don't. The pictures were taken at the beginning of the walk, just before we started. She was playing with me. It was tons of fun! I like it when she stays home.

Today is my last day of taking the one really big pill I've had to take for a week. I'm glad, because it doesn't taste that good, and it was just a nuisance. The other ones aren't as bad. I keep taking them and eating the canned food for one more week and then I'm done!!!! Yey, that'll be the day! Whoopie!!!!!! Anyway, I have to go. I think my mom and sister are going to make human treats(dog treats for humans, duh!), and I want to be there to smell them, although, of course, I'm banned from eating the delicious pastries. Hello, I'm Back!!!

Hello, bloggers, I'm back!!! Sorry it took so long for me to post again. Thank you so much for all your kind comments on the last post that my sister did. I'm feeling much better now. I have to have two big, fat pills twice a day, and three little green pills 3 times a day, 1/2 an hour before I eat a meal (1/2 a can of wet food). I love this new plan. I don't have to bother with dry food at all anymore! It's just canned food. Unfortunately, the cans area all one flavor, I think chicken and rice, but it's still good. I take the pills like a good little dog. Mommy wraps them in canned food, and puts it on a plate, and I eat it!!! I like it. I do miss the table scraps and treats, though. Mom said that now that we know I have such a sensitive stomach I won't get any bones anymore, and not as many table scraps :-(. I'll miss that...I do still try to cough something up whenever I get up from lying down, but we're all hoping that will go away. Well, thanks so much for all your kind words. Have a nice day!

Abby's Feeling a Little Under the Weather....

Hello, this is Mellimouse, Abby's (human) sister, posting. I'm running this post because Abby's not feeling too good, and I am the blog editor, after all...
You're probably wondering about all the pictures above. Well, let me explain. It all started last night (Monday night). Abby wouldn't eat her food, and she just wasn't acting like normal. Then she started trying to throw up, but nothing would come out. She would just hack and retch, but nothing happened! Then she started panting, and breathing really fast and hard. We were really worried about her, and we thought maybe she had a bone or something stuck in her throat. We waited out the night and in the morning she was still trying to throw up... We called the vet and scheduled an emergency visit. The vet looked her over and said that they would do x-rays and then an Endoscopic Exam(they called it a "Scope") to see if she had any "foreign bodies" that were causing her to act so weird/sick. They did both those and found that there was something, so they put her under and did surgery and found out that her stomach was inflamed(bright red!). They found a piece of something she ate that had caused it all, but it was very small and it fell apart when they took it out. They said if we had left Abby alone it would have healed itself soon. She just got home a little while ago, and she was still a little dizzy from the anesthesia. She got out of the trunk and started walking towards the house, but she was walking back and forth and her legs kept crossing each other. She's in her cage now(last pic.), resting. I'm looking at her right now and she's resting her head, eyes closed, fast asleep. So, she can't eat her regular dog food(3rd pic.) for two weeks. She has to be fed just prescribed canned food(1st pic.) and a special pill 1/2 an hour before(2nd pic.), so that she can keep the food down, and another pill twice a day...Let's see how this goes...normally when we give her a pill we wrap it in salami, but we can't do that now. Well, we'll do it somehow. I'll make sure Abby posts as soon as she's feeling better. Oh, wait, what was that?...Oh, she said to tell you bloggers she says hi, and she'll be up and blogging again real soon. She has to eat the first pill now, so I've gotta go. Bye!!!!!!

Bath Time!!!!!!!!!!!!!(Don't be Fooled, this is NOT a Good Thing!)

Hey, what a surprise, I'm posting again after just 3 days!!!!!! Wow, I'm good aren't I?!?
So, here's the story. On Thursday(or maybe it was Friday, anyway) I rolled in some really great smelling "natural"(I'm a natural dog, I eat Nutro food, I roll in nutro stuff!) perfume (I also ate it and had to make my sister get up twice in the night to clean up after me, 'cause I got sick) and my family for some reason didn't like the smell!!! Can you believe it?!?!?! They didn't like it. So, I had to get a b....b....b-b-b-bath! I hate that word. Baths are terrible. The water is cold, the fact that there's water on me in the first place is bad, but it's cold! And she just keeps getting me wet, even if I shake it off! It's crazy! So, my sister gave me a bath under our deck. As you can see, it was really cold and there was, like, 20 or so(give or take a few) feet of snow on the ground, and she gave me a bath anyway. My mom did take the time and fill soda bottles with warm water, which was nice the first few seconds on my skin, but then the breeze would hit it and I'd feel cold again! I got cleaned in all my nooks and crannies, and even if it was cold, at least I'm nice and fluffy and clean now. It makes mom kinda angry, 'cause I shed a lot more, but she's the one who gave me the bath, so the way I see it, it's the humans fault, once again! Anyway, I hope you enjoyed my post. I probably won't post until next weekend again, just so you know, but you can check anyway (and leave me comments!)

The Vet Visit *Dun, Dun, Duuuunnnnn*! (sorry, it's a little late)

Hey, bloggers, how are you? I'm good! Sorry I haven't posted in awhile! My computer broke, and I was busy, etc, etc. So, here's the post:
Last Monday (not this week Monday, last week Monday) I went to the vet to see about my itching. I'm getting used to the vet because I've been to the kennel, and it's at the same place. I don't shake anymore when I'm there. I used to shake really hard because I was scared, but now I don't. Anyway, the first picture is of me and the nurse (the lady before the vet), and the second one is just me in the exam room. The last one is me trying to get out the door. I don't mind being there, but when I can leave, I leave, thank you very much. Anyway, the vet said that he doesn't know what my problem is. He stuck me with a pointy pencil thing and said that "it would help" for a month or so. Well, all it did was cause me pain! Jeez! He said it would make me really thirsty, and that part is true. I drink a lot. It does seem to have gotten a little better, I must admit. He said it might be allergies. So, here I am, still a little itchy, and really thirsty. Bye!

Fall Days.........Sorry I haven't posted!

Hey, bloggers!!!!!! Sorry I haven't posted in awhile! I've been really busy, with fall and all(ha ha, that kind of rhymes!!!!). These pictures are of me with another deer bone. Some deer died again in our woods and I'm eating it now. It's really good, let me tell you!!!!!! It's so bony, and....um, hard, and cold, and gross looking. Ok, so it doesn't sound that good, but it does taste really good!!!!!!! I love it!!!!! I wish other doggy bloggers would post.......(hint, hint, people!).....
I'm itching really bad lately. I don't know, I'm just so itchy! My family even switched me to Nutro food with oatmeal for dry skin, and for awhile it got a little better, but now I'm scratching again!!!! I can't help it!!! I really want to get better. My sister told me that I have to go to the veterinarian on Monday......yey(not!). My sister always informs me on stuff that's going to happen. She tells me when she's going to leave for a vacation, or if a friends are coming, and she wakes me up at night when I have a nightmare. They're terrible!! I dream that I'm running after a big deer bone, just begging me to eat it, but the faster I run, the farther it gets from me, and the more I drool. My sister always leans down when she hears me scraping me claws on the cage side and wimpering and she says, "Abby, wake up honey, it's just a dream". Then she gets out of bed and makes me get out, too, and she sits on the floor and I dig my head into her lap. We sit there for awhile, and then she climbs in my cage and makes sure my blankets are straight, and then we go back to sleep.
Anyway, I don't know how I went from bones to sleeping, but oh well. Good night, everyone!!!!!

Doggy Cop

Hello, doggies! I'm really, really sorry I haven't posted in so long. I've been really busy, and my annoying sister has been hogging the computer. Ok, so she isn't that bad, but still. Anyway, you're probably wondering "Why in the world did Abby post a picture of a doggy cop?!?!" Well, let me tell you why. Lately I've been looking into getting a doggy job(besides my occupation of being cute and adorable), and then my brother Markus sent me this picture and I just thought I'd show you. I must say, in all honesty, that I think this dog has one LONG tongue, don't you think so? I mean, it's like, a foot long!!!!!!! He looks pretty cool, though. I wish I had an office. Maybe I should become a doggy police-dog. But then, I don't think I could deal with all the crime. I'm pretty enough, though........I'll have to think about it. I wonder what the doggy's name is. Maybe it's Dave, or Berny, or William. Who knows? He looks pretty cool. He seems very serious about his work. I'm sure he does a good job. Well, I have to go. My family is going on a swim meet for my human brother, and I think they'll give me a pig ear to console me. Just to make sure, I'd better start begging. I'll try to find more doggy job pictures and post again. Bye!

Ugh.....Why should they get a cat?!?!?!?!!!?

Sorry I haven't posted in awhile, doggies, I don't blame you if you don't comment (although, I will be disappointed......) Anyway, I have been very busy. At one point my humans even put me in the kennel for the weekend, (darn them!!!!!!!!) and left me. CAN YOU BELIEVE IT!?!?! Anyway, I'm back, though. Ok, about the pictures. Do you know what ELSE those humans did!?!!? I'll tell you. THEY GOT A CAT!!!!!!!!! I ask myself, HOW COULD THEY!?!?!?! His name is Grenuvie Gronemeyer. Fancy name, huh? Well, the good thing is, I will still be more spoiled then him. He has to live out in the barn and hunt mice for his food......ok, besides the dry food and canned food that he gets, that is. Anyway, his job is to hunt and be friends with Daisy. He has it easy, I mean all he has to do is be friends!!! And me, I have to be cute, sly, adorable, cute, awesome, good, mannerly, cute, adorable, and did I mention cute?!? I have SO much work to do. I am EXHAUSTED by the time the day is over. Really, I am. I lay in my cage and fall asleep right away. Speaking of cage, he also has a bed. The one in the first picture. It was actually for a stuffed animal. I mean, why does HE deserve a good bed? And they don't even know if he's a boy or not! I'm a girl, I can tell you that! I know if he's a boy or not, I can tell, but I'm not telling! It's my (only) secret. In some of the pictures I chased him up a tree, and smelled him. He's good at climbing, I'll give him that. He also has sharp claws, which I learned the hard way (yes, I was hit in the face. And he thought I deserved it, too. Well, he is wrong!) In one he is standing next to a water bucket, and I like to think he was dancing. He looked like it, anyway. Poor thing, he was dancing alone......should feel guilty for thinking that he deserved it?......nah. He did deserve to dance alone. At least he's prettier then our other cat, who weighs, like, 100 pounds she's so fat. She's not as good as him, I must say. Anyway, the last picture is of him on the salt block. Really, it is a block of salt, promise. He thinks it's his castle. Haha, he is so wrong. Sorry, I have to end this post and go to sleep. Sorry I didn't post in so long. Good-night!!!!!

My Photo Shoot

Ok, these are the pictures my mom took of me at MY photo shoot. Yes, I, Abby the dog, got to have a photo shoot. I just had to model my collar, try to make it more fashionable and stylish you know? It's not the greatest, so I thought if an awesome dog like me modeled it it would boost it's level of fashionability. Not that fashionability is a word or anything. But anyway, don't I look great?!!?!?!?! Normally only the humans get real photo shoots, but my mommy did some anyway!!! Yey me!! Ha, ha, you humans, I'm JUST as good as you, you see!?!?!!!! Look at my face in some of those! It's just priceless! I am a very fine doggy. VERY proper. So there. I might have to change my profile picture to one of these....... Hmmmmm. Which one would look the best. I have to decide. The second ones pretty good, or the third, maybe the fourth, definitely not the fifth.... Decisions, decisions.......... Anyway, I am still being lazy. The weather isn't very good right now. Rain, Rain (go away, come again another day..... Come on, sing it with me!!!). Ok, so you are probably too bored to sing it with me. Or lazy. Or tired. Or you think it's a baby song, but you know what, if I'm singing it, it must be cool. So there! The Lazy Days of Summer

So, here I am posting again. I've been busy, but I'm cutting out my time to update all fellow doggies on how I'm doing, since I know you are all waiting by the computer and checking my blog everyday ;-). Anyway, I don't have much to write about. I've been busy like I said. Busy being lazy. The weather was really nice for awhile, so I was outside playing and such. As you see in the first picture, I've been busy showing my stuff. Practicing my Ninja art skills. Ka-pow!!!!!! Bam, Bam, Bam, I've got you, you little piece of dirt. Now I will-oops, sorry, my bad, I got sidetracked. Anyway, I've been playing with my sister and hanging out. In the morning I get up at 5 when I hear dad, and get my morning treat (He gives me Scooby Snacks). Then I scamper back into bed, and get up when mommy gets up at 7. I get a treat from her. Around 7:30, 8 o'clock I go back to bed, and get up with my sister between 8:30 and 9. Oh, the good mornings. Then mom takes me for a walk, and after I play with my sister. She tosses my ball, and then we lie in the sun for awhile. Those last pictures are of me on one of the walks mom and took. I wanted some good pictures in there for my Boomie boy! So there they are.
